Stockholm Sangeet is proud to present the initiative Nordic Sangeet during 2024 and 2025 which is facilitating new collaborations between musicians of South Asian classical music that has never met before, and yet are all based in the Nordic countries. The first concert of this project will be presented at the SSF2024 main stage and feature the Norwegian queen of sitar Rohini Sahajpal, and from Sweden, the maestro of the rabab Wali Heidar and tabla virtouso Suranjana Ghosh. The project will continue in 2025 with different musicians from the Nordic countries performing in Denmark, Finland and Norway. We look forward to exciting music born out of new connections and crossing borders!
