Each and everyone of you is invaluable for this festival to continue to live on in the way it does. We had three days full of concerts, workshops, childrens activities and finished with the popular Open Stage. Please get in touch with any ideas of how to improve the festival for 2019. 12:00 - Family Theatre
Family theatre “Draupadis Eld” with Maria Magdolna Beky Winnerstam, dancing and miming inspired by Indian classical dance and Hip Hop. Stian Grimstad -sitar, Moa Danielson -santoor and percussion. There will also be a workshop on Indian dance for children. Suitable for 4 year olds and up. Entrance for children 60 SEK, adults 100 SEK. Tickets: www.musikaliska.se. All in one hour.
14:30 - Students Performances
The Indian music and dance of tomorrow with students from Kulturskolan Stockholm, Saraswathy Kalakendra Institution of Fine Arts, Indisk Dansakademi and Suranjana Ghosh. Free entrance. 1,5 hours.

Mingle with other lovers of Indian classical music and enjoy the Indian dances by students of Saraswathy Kalakendra Institution of Fine Arts, directed by Usha Balasundaram, before heading to the main stage.

Inauguration of the festival with conferencier Kalle Lotta Mossige-Norheim.

Odissi dance performance by Nandini Ghosal, accompanied by Kishore Ghosh (pakhawaj), Dinesh Paul (vocal), Stian Grimstad (sitar), Moa Danielson (santoor), Ulrika Larsen (Odissi dance).

Hindusthani sitar recital by Rabindra Narayan Goswami accompanied by his student K.G. Westman (sitar), Suranjana Ghosh (tabla) and Katarina Dahlbeck (tanpuri).

Dhrupad vocal recital by Dr. Madhu Bhatt Tailang accompanied by Praveen Kumar Arya (pakhawaj), Ravi Shanker Bhatt Tailang (violin), Neetu Sharma (tanpura), and Laxmi Sharma (tanpura).

16:00 - Dhrupad Workshop
Dr Madhu Bhatt Tailang, renowned dhrupad exponent from Rajasthan will in this one hour workshop, provide anyone interested an insight into this ancient musical style of India. Free entrance! Stallet, Stallgatan 7.
18:00 - Open Stage
Open Stage at Stallet has an Indian theme during Stockholm Sangeet Festival. Food and drinks are available from 18:00, Performances start 19:00. This is the place to be for a fun an spontaneous finish of this year´s festival! Conferencier is Hugo Widén.
