The inaguration of the festival is done by Her Excellency Mrs. Banashri Bose Harrison , Ambassador of the Republic of India to Sweden , Latvia.

Rushing through my veins is a tribute to Chandralekha, the Indian choreographer, multiartist and human right defender. With 4 dancers and 4 musicians the Indian classical dance forms Odissi and Bharatanatyam meet in a metaphor of the cycle of life, like blood continously circulating and pulsating in all the veins of our bodies. This version is an excerpt from a longer upcoming production in collaboration with Devika Rao Dance & Theatre in UK. A bharatanatyam dancer and choreographer who has achieved many different musical prices and is one of the most exciting in the top layer of the new generation. Janaki is known for her precision, flexibility and graceful expression.

Kamal Sabri

At last SSC has the joy to proudly present one of the worlds best players of the sarangi, known to be the instrument that best can imitate the human voice. Kamal Sabri, the seventh generation in a prestigious sarangi family, who has won countless of prices and toured extensivy over the world, is said to be one of the best in the difficult instrument

Somnath Roy

Sri Somnath Roy is truly a name to reckon with in the select band of versatile percussionists

Abhijit Banerjee (India) tablaist and composer, is one of the most sought-after tabla players of today.

Sudeshna Bhattacharya
